What’s the surface uncharged PTC heater?

Different with surface charged PTC heater, the surface uncharged PTC heater doesn’t have electricity in its aluminium surface. The PTC thermosistors, to be in charge of heating, have been encapsulated inside of two layers of yellow insulated paper. PTC heating elements have been assembled and fixed in the aluminum tube through hydraulic press. To send out heat in time, the tubes with PTC thermistors have been surrounded tightly by hundreds of aluminum ripples. These ripples have been assembled by special glue. As its insulation, this PTC heater is safer than surface charged PTC heater, it has wider applications than other models.

This PTC heater usually brings with two heat -resistant plastic frames and different kind of anti-fire wires. The dimension and shape of the two frames are designed according to the structure of the end heater. This kind of frame is made by mould. To save cost, client can use the design of our ready made frame to plan their own products. Client can also require us to make new mold for this frame, our design team can be helpful with that.

2. Specifications of ripple surface uncharged PTC heater

Material	PTC thermistors and aluminium strips, joined with soldering and gluing. The material of frame is heat resistance PPS (a kind of plastic).
Dimension	Check the dimension sketch map and specification. For the same width of PTC heater, the length can be customized.
Rated voltage	100-240V, it can be customized, the range please check the specification.
Rated power	Can be customized, the range please check the specification.
Withstanding Voltage	The withstanding voltage test will input 2 times of related voltage to the PTC heater for a minute.
Inrush current	It is about 1.5-2 times of related current when power on for about 10-15 seconds.
Power supply	AC electricity or vehicle power
Assembly mode	For client to assemble the PTC heater easily, the heat resistant plastic frame should be assembled on the PTC heater. It is plug-and-play. The client need to check the dimension of the frame before placing the order. If it doesn’t match with client’s product, we can help client to make new mould to produce suitable frame. In summary, we have engineer team to design and make mold for frame.
Wires	Usually use fire resistance wire or Teflon wire.
Wires length	Can be customized according to client’s need
Surface charged	No. It is safer than charged model, but has less power density than it .
PTC thermistors	The PTC thermistors have been plugged into the aluminium tube and been squeezed by liquid pressure machine. To make this heater insulated, these thermistors are covered by two layers of yellow insulated film before they have been plugged into the tube.
Temperature	The highest temperature of the heater body is 280℃, the highest temperature of the heated air is 130℃. It doesn’t have light fire.
Temperature control	This heater unit doesn’t have temperature limiter. For safety consideration, we can add it to a place on the plastic frame.
Package	Bubble bag, can be customized

3. The features of ripple surface uncharged h eater series.

3.1 Its surface is uncharged, it is insulated and safe. Even it touch the conductive object it is insulated.

3.2 Easy installation, plug-and-play, fast temperature increasing.

3.3 PTC has no oxygenation and open flame, the using is secure and comfortable. Quiet operation doesn’t generate RFI noise.

3.4 It has a virtually unlimited service life, the service life is up to 100,000 hours.

3.5 Automatic adjustment to maintain balanced and continuously heating. When the temperature is too high, it will automatically reduce the power, reduce the heating and keep the temperature constant. High operational reliability and energy efficiency without any additional switching elements.

3.6 Product size, voltage, power, temperature and other parameters can be customized.

4. The possible applications of surface uncharged ripple PTC heater

As the safety features, the surface uncharged PTC heater are most commonly used as pre- or post-heaters in home appliance. To say air heater, clothes dryer, air conditioner, any heater may touch people or other conductive objects.
