What’s a surface charged corrugated PTC heater?

In the field of PTC heater, the most widely used and cost-effective heater should be the surface charged corrugated heater series. It perfectly replaces the traditional electric heating wire heating. This surface charged corrugated heater has a very huge market, and the market demand is growing at a rate of more than 10% every year.

Conductive corrugated PTC heater is a kind of high-power PTC heater. Corrugated radiator is pasted on both sides of common PTC element, and corrugated hole can supply hot air. PTC Insulated Ripple heating element are dynamic heating elements designed to heat up moving air. The large surface area of the aluminium fins ensures a homogeneous heat transfer adjusting the air volume flow.

Assembly mode	Reserve 4 pcs of 250 terminals, usually set up to output 3 gears of power. It is plug-and-play. The other options include making outgoing fire resistance wires or making a frame of heat resistant plastic. We have engineer team who can help client to design how to assemble the PTC heater to the finished heater.
Wires	Usually use fire resistance wire or Teflon wire.

Surface charged	Yes. We also have surface uncharged models.
PTC thermistors surface	This model we don’t deal with its surface. Can make PTC thermistors been covered with a layer of thick dropped glue, so it is better on dust-proof and moisture-proof. The cost increasing is about us$0.08/pc.
Temperature	The highest temperature of the heater body is 280℃, the highest temperature of the heated air is 130℃. It doesn’t have light fire.
Temperature control	This heater doesn’t have temperature limiter. For safety consideration, we can add it to the PTC heater, the PTC heater need a plastic frame to fix the sensor.

4. The possible applications of surface charged PTC heaters.

Due to its own features, the surface charged PTC heater are most commonly used as pre- or post-heaters in air conditioning. As it is surface charged, it mainly been used in relative dry and clean environment And it should be well isolated with conductive objects. The most common usage is home use air heater and clothes dryer, or industry dryer.
